
Cadence Arcana is an acoustic pop folk-punk musician, performer, and writer. They have done past performances most, notably at Vaughan Mills for Rep Your Region finals 2018 and work in Independent Music Production. Cadence has been involved with mental health advocacy as a musician and has released a single and small album. They have recently announced an Upcoming song project called ‘Chrysanthemums’ that will release on Spotify in January 2022.

Cadence Arcana’s career started in December of 2015 with writing and performing their own Christmas song for a local talent event. They were completely self-taught on the guitar, in songwriting and had a base knowledge of music theory. Cadence’s interest in music as a performance art quickly became a passion after the event; they started to attend open mic’s, collaborate with other musicians, get involved with local performances, and continue to create original songs. At this same time, Cadence also was involved in visual art creating pen and ink pieces. In 2017 Cadence decided to switch schools continue learning about music at Seneca’s Independent Music Production program and performed At Vaughan Mills for Rep your Region Finals 2018. Unfortunately, Cadence became ill and was hospitalized for mental health issues, and needed to take a break. Joined a group called “Fuck Perfect” run by “Art Not Shame”, Cadence wrote and recorded three tracks (later re-released as “The Lesser Files” demo) and their track “Frequency” was featured on cfru 93.3FM radio station in Guelph Ontario. and they started to plan their next project and return to school near the start of 2020. Before They could start preparing Covid-19 struck lockdowns surely followed. Cadence Arcana didn’t stop pursuing their career during this, instead, they continued to create music based on mental health, visual art, and started to get involved with mental health advocacy as a musician. They made updates on the creative process, released a mini-album called “The Lesser Files”, wrote and recorded songs and performance videos. In 2021 Cadence Arcana decided to continue and finish their studies in Independent Music Production, they have been currently working on a song with John Switzer (award-winning producer, who worked with Jace Sidberry) and Alfio Annabilini (producer, recording engineer, worked with Blue Rodeo and other multiplatinum artists). The track “Chrysanthemums” is to be released in January 2021 to Spotify. They are also working toward music video projects, collaborative productions for Haskett (musician, songwriter known for radio release of Belle Reve”), producing their second album, and a series of art prints.
